Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Emma

This year it will be 200 years since Jane Austen’s much-loved classic Emma was published in December 1815. To celebrate, the Friends of Brunswick Square are organising a weekend mini-festival, Emma 200. It will include talks, performances, exhibitions and more in leafy Brunswick Square, which features in the novel.

Emma exclaims in chapter 12: “Our part of London is so very superior to most others! The neighbourhood of Brunswick Square is so very different from almost all the rest”
We couldn’t agree more!

There will be four days of events from 10-13 September, including Open Gardens Saturday on 12 September. See the full programme at http://www.emma200brunswicksquare.com/ or book tickets directly on www.eventbrite.co.uk by searching Emma 200 Festival.

You can also stay up to date with what’s happening on their Facebook page or on Twitter by following @BrunswickSq.
