If you like singing, join the new Brunswick singing group which will meet in the Community Room (10 Foundling Court, access via Doorway 1) at 6.30pm on Wednesdays from today, 8 September. The Mayor of Camden is due to come along tonight to get the group off to a flying start. It has been organised by Isobel McMillan on behalf of the Brunswick Tenants and Residents Association. You can contact Isobel for more details (67 Foundling Court or isobel.mcmillan@phonecoop.coop).
Singer and actor Debora Collister will be leading us in a range of songs from around the world, including traditional, modern, pop and show tunes. You don’t need to be able to read music or have any experience in a choir – just join in and sing!
Seeing the flowers that have been planted in the bed outside door 6 is really cheering – I’m grateful to the person who has taken the trouble to plant and look after them. My own balcony is looking rather sorry for itself – though I have now planted tomatoes and sown some herbs. If you’re interested in gardening, and would like to win a prize, Camden are encouraging people to enter Camden in Bloom. Categories include Best Council Housing Balcony, and you’d need to get your entry in between 1-11 June. Full details are on their website www.camden.gov.uk/camdeninbloom
